The Band
Based in Gwynedd, North Wales, we've played as Run-Dog-Run for quite some time now, building up a good reputation for our music, and establishing ourselves in various parts of the U.K. We're writing and introducing new material on a fairly regular basis, and while we can do a whole show of run.dog songs and tunes, we do like to throw in a cover version or two to keep people on their toes.
Run-Dog-Run are...
Russ Chester - Accordion, Guitar and Vocals
Andy Jones - Acoustic guitars and Vocals

We try to update our web site as often as possible as many of you keep coming back to see what's new, or to remind us to change our outdated stuff - Many thanks.
Despite Russ having a new squeezebox he's still in the process of trying to destroy the old one in a live situation, unfortunately we think that it's destroying him! come along and judge for yourself!
If any of you have heard us on the Radio you'll probably realise that we've finally got our CD back again! Not the full one as we wished, but a re-release of our previous one, it's got four additional new tracks and two re-recorded tracks, while all the other tracks have been re-mastered to make them more dynamic/vibrant. 10 tracks that we're happy with- and the DJ's are happy with!! The problem now is that we've only got a handfull left and we're going to have to have a reprint/re run some time very soon
The Promotional CD/DVD we had made proved so popular we had to end up selling it. We thought it was too rough for that but you guys proved us wrong, and again we've only got a few left so will have to make some more! We've been trying to keep October/November clear of gigs as we're looking at re-recording some of the rough tracks on the CD and making another full album - time will tell!
We've played more Private parties than ever before(mostly around Shropshire..is there something in the water there?). I'm going to repeat here what I said last year as it worked for us (and you)....you book us to play in your house! It's intimate, you get to impress your friends & neighbours, and there's no 'riff raff' (unless of course you are the riff raff!)- Take a look at our gig listings where they say Private booking/party!). Birthdays and weddings also featured quite heavily for us.
2011...Our Annual trip to kent for the Broadstairs Folk Week turned out to be our best ever yet! In the past, the horrors of negotiating the M25 made us consider doing the trek over two days, but having hit the M25 and encoutered no hold ups (WHAT!)we decided to continue straight to Broadstairs arriving a day early! We discovered some great places to eat, and had some great gigs. One of our more unusual gigs was an 'acoustic guitar set' in the 'Albert' - which despite having us out of our comfort zone was well received much to the suprise of people who turned up wanting to dance!
2011 continues to suprise us, and despite losing some of our regular venues the gigs turn up from the most unusual sources. Some of the new venues we've played at this year have given us not only a fresh incentive to play, but also a huge amount of fun!
October is taking us out to Ireland for a few days to play some informal gigs and sessions and sharpen/freshen us up for recording
