The Band

Based in Gwynedd, North Wales, we've played as Run-Dog-Run for quite some time now, building up a good reputation for our music, and establishing ourselves in various parts of the U.K. We're writing and introducing new material on a fairly regular basis, and while we can do a whole show of run.dog songs and tunes, we do like to throw in a cover version or two to keep people on their toes.

Run-Dog-Run are...

Russ Chester - Accordion, Guitar and Vocals
Andy Jones - Acoustic guitars and Vocals
Barmouth festival

We try to update our web site as often as possible as many of you keep coming back to see what's new, or to remind us to change our outdated stuff - Many thanks.

Russ has got a new squeeze box as the old one was no longer suitable for studio work (that obviously doesn't stop him using it 'live', and if you come to our gigs you can watch him in the process of destroying it!).

If any of you have heard us on the Radio you'll probably realise that we've finally got our CD back again! Not the full one as we wished, but a re-release of our previous one, it's got four additional new tracks and two re-recorded tracks, while all the other tracks have been re-mastered to make them more dynamic/vibrant. 10 tracks that we're happy with- and the DJ's are happy with!!

So why did we have no CD's left? Well we sold out, and when we went for a re-print the Leeds based company we dealt with had 'lost' our masters (what????!!!). Never mind, I'm sure it won't be too much trouble re-recording ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!

2009? - Despite the 'recession' the gigs came in nicely again. We've played more 'within' Wales than we've ever done before, including three Beer Festivals. We've also had airplay both here and over the border as we managed to get our CD re-recorded, and not only that, we also managed to get a live promotional CD together which people actually want to buy! We also managed to get over to Ireland with some musician friends of ours, and we're hoping to get over to France in 2010 from some interest we had at one of the Beer Festivals (fingers crossed!) 2009 also produced loads of private bookings - quite a few weddings, quite a few private parties, but also people just wanting us to do private gigs (if you're not quite aware of the latest trends in entertainment - you book us to play in your house! It's intimate, you get to impress your friends & neighbours, and there's no 'riff raff' (unless of course you are the riff raff!)- Take a look at our gig listings for last year where they say Private booking/party!). So all in all, not a bad year.

2010?
