The Band
Based in Gwynedd, North Wales, we've played as Run.dog.run for quite some time now, building up a good reputation for our music, and establishing ourselves in various parts of the U.K. More recently, we've been restructuring our set, writing new material, and introducing other songs and tunes to help balance some of the wilder tracks with some mellower ones.
Run.dog.run are...
Russ Chester - Accordion, Guitar and Vocals
Andy Jones - Guitars and Vocals

We've also updated and revamped our web site as it's turned out to be quite popular with many of you out there (huge thanks for your interest,- keep it coming!), and as you see we've got rid of that 'mustard' colour and gone for a good passionate purple instead.
Recording new material still remains a problem. Russ's accordion is slowly dying and is no longer suitable for studio work. That obviously doesn't stop him using it 'live' and if you come to our gigs you can watch him in the process of destroying it! Our mixer/recorder has been getting a bit too temperamental and our mastering machine is now finally deceased - but - We've been offered the use of a studio down in Brighton so things are looking up a little bit. We're aiming for the CD to sound very acoustic and dynamic(without ripping your ears off!)and hopefully end up as a mix of live and studio tracks if all goes according to plan.
So why have we got no CD's to sell? Well we sold out, and when we went for a re-print the Leeds based company we dealt with had 'lost' our masters (what????!!!). Never mind, I'm sure it won't be too much trouble re-recording ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!
Gigs for 2007 built up well, and alot of new/first time venues took an unusual amount of interest (strangely, local ones!). Don't know whether this is because we're getting a good reputation as a band for original music, or whether people are getting fed up with caberet/karaoke/one man bands. Only time will tell - long live live music!
2008? The beginning of the year is always a bit scary - always just a little bit too quiet! - but we must have done something right last year as the gigs are coming in, and we've had some great bookings from our regular venues. Best news though is - we've already been invited back to the 'Broadstairs Folk Festival in Kent!!
