I was at Broadstairs Folk Week last week and came across a North Wales based duo called ‘Run Dog Run’ who were playing very danceable Cajun and Zydeco tunes (amongst other genres) on piano accordion and guitar. I had never heard of them before but because they play our sort of music, I have put a link to their website and added their gigs to my website gigs listings. Jim (Webmaster Cajun UK)

Commendation!
This card (along with a bottle of 'Pussers' British Navy rum) was presented to us at our last gig at 'The Fox Inn, Oswestry, Shropshire.
Run dog run would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the Oswestry Naval Association, Jon & Amanda at the Fox, and to all who turned out for last months Falklands Veterans day.

Hi, on our wedding journey through Ireland and Wales we stayed for a week in Porthmadog and we saw one of your fabulous performances in 'the Golden Fleece'. We really enjoyed the evening. When will the new CD be out and is it possible to buy it in Germany? Best regards, Jan

Mike in North Carolina Hey Russ & Andy, Great Website & thanks again for the great gig at the Marine Criccieth!!!

Wheaton Aston Festival...(Now That's Soul..)As Run dog run, Russ Chester (accordion, guitar & vocals) and Andy Jones Guitar & vocals), have a good musical empathy. And this - plus the diverse, acoustic, rootsy feel of their music - is what attracted us when we first heard these two North Wales lads who perform with great conviction & effect.
They won't be tied to any particular music genre - and one of the delights of their gigs is that you never know what is coming next. It could be something with a Cajun/Zydeco flavour, a Celtic one, American trad or one of their own creations. They play it tight, they play it well - and what emerges is a lovely feelgood, often high energy, ambience.
This is infectiously happy, smiley music. Music that's hard to sit still to. And not only that - it's good for the soul. What more can we ask for?

Steve/Bard of Ely......CD Review
Hi Andy & Russ! I had a great time at the Green Man festie & have been enjoying yr album so thanx for that!
Great playing throughout & a great balance of instrumentals and songs, although being a singer/songwriter myself I am a bit biased in favour of the songs! LOL A most impressive repertoire of material too...I see from the flyer! My fave track is 'Bleach My Bones' which I think I would have put as the opening track. I don't know if either of you are Kevin Ayers fans but your music reminded me of him and also slight touches of the Gorkys and Neil Young perhaps. Continued good luck with it all!
Hwyl!

Thanks both...I can't say for sure if we will be back at the cross though...I found it hard to tell if the landlord liked us or not. We have had interest from some other venues in town though...look out in 'Gigs'
