This is probably the smallest & may be the finest pub in Oswestry. You often see signs above doors telling you to "Mind Your Head"...When you enter The Fox, you really do need to heed this advice!
The pub is pretty much in the centre of town and is significant because of its timbered beams and the like, it resides within the conservation area of Oswestry.

Once you are inside the pub you would never guess that the town was right outside the door, the pub has all the qualities of a good country Inn...& the regulars are very friendly and outgoing.

When you first enter The Fox, you will get the impession that it's tiny, but as you explore a little you will find that it extends back quite some way...eventually leading to a courtyard at the very rear of the pub. In the summer months BBQ's are a regular event in the courtyard with bands playing "real" live music!

Boogie on down...They like to have a dance in The Fox! (I wouldn't try the pogo here though ;-))

Ok...here's where it is...

The best way to find the Fox is coming off the A5 trunk road.
From the south...take the second turn off for Oswestry...keep on this road...it will take you into the center of the town...once you enter the town, there are two ways to get to the pub...you will need to bare left...so if you take the first left you will pass a market...once you pass the market, turn right and right again...the Fox is 100yards down here on the right.
If you take the second left turning you will need to keep baring left from then on...look for the Fox on the left.
From the north, take the First Oswestry turning...then the same as above.
